Mechanism of emission of blue luminescence from $ArKrF^*$ and $KrN_2F^*$ excimers

Abstract:
The brightness of the $\lambda=420$ nm luminescence, observed as a result of photodissociation of $KrF_2$ was found to depend on the $Ar$ and $N_2$ content of the mixture. This was attributed to the formation of intermediate excimers $ArKrF^*$ and $KrN_2F^*$.
