Interaction of radiation with matter. Laser plasma

Photoinduced change in the refractive index of Y3Al5O12:Nd crystals

Kh. S. Bagdasarov, A. B. Gil'varg, V. F. Karyagin, A. I. Munchaev, E. M. Uyukin, E. A. Fedorov
Abstract: Optical damage to YAG:Nd crystals was observed. The change in the refractive index exhibited dispersion in the visible range of wavelengths. The damage effect was due to either charge transfer or photoexcitation involving defect centers.
