Physics of energy storage in a BaEr2F8:Tm:Ho active medium

Abstract: It has been found that the factor differentiating holmium-containing active media in terms of energy characteristics is the degree of reversal of resonant processes involving summation of the excitation of the 4I13/2 (Er), 3F4 (Tm), and 5I7 (Ho) storage levels.
