Influence of the parameters of super-Gaussian apodizing apertures on the distribution of the radiation intensity in the far-field zone

A. D. Tsvetkov, N. I. Potapova, B. M. Sedov
Abstract: A study is made of the laws governing the distribution of the intensity of radiation in the Fraunhofer zone after diffraction by glass apodizing apertures. The dependences of the spatial and energy characteristics of the diffraction patterns on the parameters of the apertures with super-Gaussian transmission functions are obtained allowing for the optical inhomogeneity which appears in real apertures.
