Full-text PDF (545 kB) Citations (2)
Abstract: A calculation is made of the optimal length of a fiber and of the power of a radiation source to ensure the maximum precision in the determination of the angular velocity with the aid of a ring fiber interferometer. Allowance is made for the shot noise, nonlinear phase nonreciprocity, and noise due to interference with backscattered waves.
