Control of the line profile and of the signal/noise ratio in polarization active Raman spectroscopy
S. M. Gladkov, N. I. Koroteev
Abstract:
A new modification of the coherent Raman ellipsometry method was developed in a form suitable for automated recording of the spectra. It was found experimentally that investigations of complex Raman bands, consisting of several superimposed lines, carried out by this method and involving selection of suitable polarization conditions made it possible to alter the interference of the components of the spectrum and thus vary within certain limits their relative positions. The error in the determination of the parameters of the components of a spectrum could thus be minimized.
