Competition between polarizations in a gas laser with a weak phase anisotropy of the resonator

Full-text PDF (998 kB) Citations (3)
Abstract: An investigation was made of the influence of fluctuations on the nature of the polarization of the radiation emitted from a gas laser with a weak internal anisotropy in the resonator. It was found that the minimum anisotropy at which the polarization became linear was governed by natural fluctuations in the active medium.
