Investigation of stimulated emission due to transitions in strontium in a mixture with hydrogen

È. K. Karabut, V. F. Kravchenko, V. S. Mikhalevskii, A. P. Shelepo
Abstract: A spectroscopic investigation was made of the excitation and population inversion of strontium ion levels in a mixture with hydrogen excited in a direct-current pulse discharge. The population inversion appeared during the afterglow stage due to recombination of doubly charged strontium ions formed by direct electron impact. The characteristics of the stimulated emission of a mixture of Sr II with H2 were analyzed.
