Radiation control in thin-film waveguides by modulation of prism coupler parameters

Abstract:
An investigation was made of the possibility of modulation and scanning of radiation at the exit from a thin-film waveguide by varying the coupling parameters and by utilizing the electro-optic and photoelastic properties of light-extraction devices.
