Complex conjugation of fields in stimulated Brillouin scattering

Abstract:
Methods usually employed in the theory of volume holograms are used to show that the spatial distribution of the field in stimulated Brillouin scattering may be a complex conjugate of the laser radiation field. The conditions needed for experimental realization of this effect are given.
