Abstract: The dependences of the lasing threshold, of the output power, of the spectrum, and of the polarisation azimuth of the radiation from a ring Nd:YAG chip laser on the azimuth of the linear polarisation of the pump radiation were observed experimentally for the first time. An attempt was made to account qualitatively for the dependence of the lasing threshold of this laser on the azimuth of the pump radiation polarisation.
