Experimental investigation of a thin-film-waveguide spectrum analyzer with a prism radiation coupling

A. S. Kuzali, A. V. Chekan
Abstract: A study is reported of the spectroscopic properties of a thin-film optical waveguide with prism coupling of radiation. The results are given of an experimental investigation of the spectroscopic parameters of this system found by exciting the waveguide with light from a DRSh very-high-pressure mercury lamp. An analysis is made of the possibility of enhancing the resolving power of such a spectrum analyzer by increasing the length of the emitting aperture and enlarging the dispersion factor.
