Investigation of a laser with passive mode locking and fixed moment of stimulated emission

S. K. Vartapetov, V. I. Vovchenko, I. K. Krasyuk, P. P. Pashinin
Abstract: An investigation was made of a laser with mode locking by a saturable filter and Q switching at a fixed moment. There was a 65% probability of the appearance of stimulated emission in an interval between 1 and 2.5 μsec after Q switching. This laser should find application in situations requiring synchronization of the appearance of stimulated radiation with other apparatus used in laser investigations.
