Influence of transit effects on the frequency of a stabilized gas laser

Abstract:
A theoretical analysis is made of the influence of the quadratic Doppler effect, magnetic hyperfine splitting of a line into several components, and transit effects on the emission frequency of a gas laser. This laser is assumed to be stabilized by the frequency modulation method and the modulation frequency is arbitrary.
