Narrow-band tunable pulsed dye laser for isotope separation
S. A. Kostritsa, V. A. Mishin General Physics Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract:
A system with grazing incidence on a grating was developed for precision scanning of the emission frequency of a dye laser. A glass wedge with a specially selected angle and thickness was located between the grating and an non-transmitting mirror. Rotation of the wedge made it possible to vary the laser frequency so that there was no hopping of the longitudinal resonator cavity modes. This tuning mechanism made it possible to relax significantly the requirements that the frequency variation system had to satisfy.
