Gallium arsenide electron-beam-pumped laser with a distributed feedback

Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the threshold and spectral characteristics of an electron-beampumped GaAs laser with a distributed feedback. A comparison of the experimental results with a theoretical distributed-feedback model of a one-dimensional structure yielded the parameters of the investigated laser. The distribution of the radiation intensity was nonuniform over the length of the active medium, as predicted by the theoretical model.
