Diffused waveguides in LiNbO3 and electro-optic modulation of light in such waveguides

Abstract:
Electro-optic waveguides were formed in LiNbO3 by the diffusion of metal and oxide ions. A waveguide formed by the diffusion of titanium oxide in LiNbO3 was used as a Bragg electro-optic modulator.
