Abstract: An investigation was made of stimulated emission from a thin-film rhodamine B laser with a distributed feedback. This feedback was produced by a periodic variation of the film thickness. The stimulated emission occurred at the wavelength of 6118 Å and the emission line width was less than 3 Å.
