Investigation of the angular resolution in the conversion of images from λ=10 μ to visible in proustite

Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the angular resolution in the conversion of images from λ=10 μ to visible in proustite in a system with a cylindrical focusing of the pump wave and a large angle between the pump and signal waves. The angular resolution in the focusing plane, which was 2.6×10–3 rad, was in good agreement with a theoretical estimate deduced from the angular range of the phase-matching directions of the signal wave.
