Abstract:
An investigation was made of a high-pressure pulsed electron-beam-controlled Ar–Xe laser with an active volume of 10 liters and a heated-cathode electron gun. When the electron beam current density was ~ 300 mA/cm2 the output energy was 50–60 J and the efficiency was ~ 2–3%.
