Abstract:
Stimulated emission was obtained at λ = 10.6 μ as a result of mixing of a supersonic D+D2+Ar stream with an O3+CO2+He stream. Population inversion was due to the transfer of the vibrational energy from OD molecules, formed by a chemical reaction, to CO2.
