Enhancement of the efficiency of second-harmonic generation inside a resonator

V. G. Dmitriev, E. A. Shalaev, E. M. Shvom
Abstract: An experimental study was made of the efficiency of the internal generation of the second harmonic in the resonator of a Q-switched YAG:Nd laser. It was found that the conversion efficiency could be increased by using the dispersive properties of the air gap in the resonator. A method was developed for increasing the conversion efficiency without introduction of additional optical elements into the resonator.
