Characteristics of the radiation emitted from dye lasers tuned without selective elements

L. D. Derkacheva, V. A. Petukhov
Abstract: A spectroscopic investigation was made of the radiation emitted by dye solution lasers excited with a ruby laser beam at two inclined directions. The dependence of the wavelength of the selective-emission line on the angular parameters of the system was determined. It was found that the dye lasers emitted radiation along a direction symmetric with respect to the resonator axis. This selective emission satisfied the space-time phase-matching conditions for the parametric interaction between four fields.
