Potential use of rough diffraction gratings in measurements of infrared laser beam parameters

Abstract: A study was made of the possibility of using wire diffraction gratings in measurements of beam parameters of cw infrared lasers. Air cooling made it possible to increase the maximum permissible densities of laser radiation incident on the grating and yet retain a high optical quality of the beam.
