Investigation of the characteristics of a tunable highpressure waveguide CO2 laser

Abstract:
An investigation was made of the principal characteristics of a compact single-mode glass-waveguide CO2 laser. The frequency of this laser was tunable and it was used in high-resolution spectroscopy of the OsO4 molecule. The laser frequency was tuned within the range 300 MHz by varying the resonator length with a piezoelectric ceramic element.
