Gas-discharge tubes for metal halide vapor lasers

Abstract:
A description is given of the construction of gas-discharge tubes for metal halide vapor lasers excited by pulses of high repetition frequency. The working temperature in the tube was established by self-heating. The output characteristics of copper chloride laser tubes of this kind were found to be stable for tens of hours.
