Comparative investigation of pulsed HF and DF–CO2 chemical lasers

V. Ya. Agroskin, B. G. Bravy, V. I. Kir'yanov, V. L. Tal'roze
Abstract: The same apparatus was used to investigate experimentally the main characteristics of pulsed photoinitiated HF and DF–CO2 lasers over a broad range of initial conditions: initiation, pressure, temperature, and mixture composition. The characteristics were compared and the possibility of optimizing technically the operation of these lasers was analyzed.
