Abstract:
The main requirements which targets have to satisfy are formulated in accordance with the current theoretical ideas on the processes observed experimentally. A method is developed for the preparation of suspended spherical targets made of solid hydrogen and deuterium. A method for the preparation of polymer targets is suggested and tested: In this method small hollow thin-walled spheres are used.
