Experimental investigation of nonspherical cumulative laser plasma configurations

V. A. Gribkov, O. N. Krokhin, V. Ya. Nikulin, O. G. Semenov, G. V. Sklizkov
Abstract: The results are given of an experimental investigation of planar and quasicylindrical laser plasma cumulation. It is shown that when laser radiation is focused into a cone drilled in a solid target (and also in some cases of heating of a plane target), the dynamic heating is affected significantly by cumulative jets and parametric instability.
