Abstract: An investigation was made of the efficiency of the coupling of GaAs laser radiation into a thin-film (AlGa)As waveguide as a function of the parameters of a prism-film coupling device. The radiation of a semiconductor laser was coupled experimentally into a thin-film semiconductor waveguide.
