Abstract: A theoretical investigation is made of the nature of the polarization of the radiation emitted from gas lasers with a weak phase anisotropy of the resonator, emitting in the two-mode regime with an inhomogeneous and homogeneous broadening of the gain profile. It is shown that for both types of laser there are regions of stable emission with linear polarization of the output radiation.
