Single-frequency Q-switched neodymium laser

A. L. Egorov, V. V. Korobkin, R. V. Serov
Abstract: Reliable emission of one longitudinal and lowest transverse mode from a Q-switched neodymium laser was achieved using a specially designed resonant reflector as the exit mirror. This reflector acted as a longitudinal mode selector. The method used to design this selector is described and the characteristics of a single-frequency laser utilizing such a selector are reported.
