Abstract:
Stimulated emission was obtained from a CS2–O mixture utilizing dissociation of oxygen behind a reflected shock wave. An oxygen-argon mixture heated in a shock tube expanded in a supersonic nozzle and was then mixed with CS2 in an ejector. An output power of 10 W was obtained in the form of 1.8 msec pulses when the active region in the resonator was 7 cm long.
