Applications of Lasers and Other Problems in Quantum Electronics

Investigation of the kinetics of laser heating of Fe–C alloys by a magnetic induction method

Yu. K. Danileiko, A. I. Pchelintsev, A. V. Sidorin, V. M. Tatarintsev
Abstract: A new method was developed for investigating the kinetics of laser heating of ferromagnetic alloys based on determination of the change in the magnetic conductance in the heat treatment zone. The lifetime of the paramagnetic phase and the velocity of the ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transformation front were determined.
