Continuously operating high-pressure carbon dioxide laser with a tuning range of 800 MHz
I. M. Beterov, A. S. Provorov, V. P. Chebotaev
Abstract:
An investigation was made of the conditions for the maximum tuning range of the emission frequency of a cw high-pressure CO2 laser. A tuning range of ~ 800 MHz was obtained experimentally for several vibration-rotational transitions in the CO2 molecule. Theoretical estimates were made of the maximum tuning range and optimum pressure. The experimental and theoretical results were compared.
