Interaction of laser radiation with matter

Laser damage to glasses and generation of a multicomponent plasma

Abstract: The mass-spectrometric method was used to investigate the process of laser damage to a silicate glass surface in a regime when a high-temperature plasma was formed. The influence of this damage on the charge and energy distributions of the plasma ions was analyzed.
