Lorenz-type chaos (turbulence) in five-wave mixing in a uniform streaming plasma

Abstract: It is shown that nonlinear coupling equations of five monochromatic waves in a hot uniform streaming electron plasma can be recast in a form which is isomorphic to the Lorenz turbulence equations. The possibility of Lorenz-type chaos (turbulence) is predicted.
