Abstract: The nature of operation of a laser with a phase-conjugate mirror utilizing multibeam interaction was found to have a considerable influence on the coupling of its resonator to the resonator of a laser used to pump the mirror. A system of this kind with resonators coupled by a dynamic hologram exhibited "soft" lasing in the presence of a self-pumped phase-conjugate mirror.
