Review

Integrated optoelectronic circuits

N. N. Evtikhiev, V. N. Morozov
Abstract: A review is given of the state of the art of integrated optoelectronic circuits (IOECs) based on GaAlAs/GaAs and GalnAsP/InP semiconductor structures. New technologies developed specifically for IOECs are described. The results obtained in the fabrication of main IOEC components (lasers and photodiodes), integrated with electronic circuits, are given. Descriptions are provided of terminal modules used in waveguide data processing systems made of IOECs.
