Influence of the concentration of the absorbent on the depth of a dip in stimulated emission spectrum of a dye laser used in measurement of weak absorption by the intraresonator spectroscopy method
A. N. Rubinov, M. V. Belokon'
Abstract:
An investigation was made of the inlfuence of absorbing particles on the depth of dips in the stimulated emission spectrum of a flashlamp-pumped dye laser used in measuring the absorption of I2 molecules by the method of selective losses in a resonator. Analytic expressions were obtained for the calculation of the dependence of the relative depth of a dip on the concentration of such particles and for estimating the sensitivity of the intraresonator method of recording absorption bands and lines of atoms and molecules. The sensitivity of the intraresonator method was found to be 800 times higher than that of conventional methods.
