Investigation of spatial and spectral distributions of spontaneous radiation emitted by a xenon-helium optical amplifier
V. I. Logvinov, V. A. Tsar'kov
Abstract:
The results are given of a calculation and experimental study of the spatial distribution of the intensity of spontaneous radiation emitted from a xenon-helium optical amplifier, and of a study of the spontaneous radiation spectrum in the range from 0,78 to 3.70 μ. Measurements of the intensity of the spontaneous radiation line at 3.51 μ are reported. The results were obtained using cells whose diameters ranged from 1 to 10 mm and which were operated under optimal conditions.
