Z-pinch as the active medium of lasers for the far ultraviolet spectral region

Abstract: It is shown that all the necessary conditions for lasing in the far ultraviolet spectral region using schemes with resonant optical pumping and recombination pumping (with radiative cooling) can be obtained in a z-pinch plasma.
