Stimulated Raman scattering of laser radiation with a wide angular spectrum

Yu. E. D'yakov, S. Yu. Nikitin
Abstract: Transformation of the energy of spatially noncoherent laser radiation into the energy of a diffraction-limited light beam by stimulated Raman scattering (STRS) is considered. The physical mechanism of the effect is analyzed, the conditions for its realization are formulated, and the results are given of experimental investigations and numerical simulation of STRS correction of wavefronts.
