Oscillations, decay, and recorrelations in a simple quantum model

Abstract:
A study is made of some aspects of the behavior of a two-level atom interacting with a field initially in a coherent state. It is shown that the dynamic behavior of an atom is characterized by the Rabi recorrelation oscillations. Expressions are obtained for the oscillation period and decay time.
