Bipolar He–Cd hollow-cathode laser

Abstract: An He–Cd laser with two hollow cathodes was constructed. The power supply was in the form of an alternating voltage of 220 V. The laser emitted the cadmium ion lines 441.6, 533.7, and 537.8 nm along two optics axes. The optimal operation conditions were investigated.
