Abstract: An investigation was made of pulsed stimulated emission of ultraviolet radiation from gold vapor in discharge mixtures with helium, neon, and argon. In a discharge with neon, the average output power at the 312.2 nm wavelength was 1.2 W and the efficiency was 0.03%. At 627.8 nm, under similar excitation conditions, the average output power was 6 W and the efficiency was 0.2%.
