P. G. Kryukov, Yu. A. Matveets, V. A. Semchishen Institute of spectroscopy of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract:
A description is given of a laser system, which emits subpicosecond gigawatt pulses and is based on a cw passively mode-locked dye laser, and of a laser spectrometer having a time resolution of better than 1 psec. Measurements were made of the time of energy migration between chromophores reaction centers of photosynthetic bacteria.
