Stimulated emission from particles crossing the interface between two media

Abstract:
An analysis is made of stimulated emission from a nonrelativistic electron beam crossing the interface between two different dielectric media. The quantum approach is used to derive expressions for the stimulated emission and absorption probabilities and also to estimate the electromagnetic wave gain.
