Investigation of the spectral dependences of the absolute quantum yields of I$(^ 2$P$_{1/2})$ and I$(^ 2$P$_{3/2})$ in photolysis of $C_3F_7I$, $CF_3CFICF_3$, and $CF_3OCF_2CF_2I$ in the first absorption band

Abstract:
Measurements were made of the spectral dependences of the absolute quantum yields of I$(^ 2P_{1/2})$ and I$(^ 2P_{3/2})$ donated by $\Phi_{I^*}(\lambda)$ and $\Phi_{I}(\lambda)$ in the photolysis of substances RI$=C_3F_7I$, $CF_3CFICF_3$, and $CF_3OCF_2CF_3I$ in the wavelength range $\lambda=230-320$ nm. Throughout this spectral region the photodissociation of RI into R and I$(^ 2P_{1/2})$, I$(^ 2P_{3/2})$ predominated so that $\Phi_{I^*}(\lambda)+\Phi_I(\lambda)\gtrsim0.93$. The integrated quantum yields $\Phi=\int\Phi(\lambda)\,d\lambda$ were determined between 230 and 320 nm within the confidence interval 0.997 and the oscillator strengths of the relevant transitions were found.
