Determination of a laser pulse profile from its autocorrelation intensity function

A. G. Plyavenek, S. V. Yastrebov
Abstract: An algorithm is derived for the reconstruction of all possible ultrashort pulse profiles from the autocorrelation intensity function. Information on the number of possible ultrashort pulse profiles is supplemented and the conditions are found for limiting the number of these profiles as a function of the precision of their reconstruction.
